Bill Gates is the founder of Microsoft.

Bill Gates is considered to be one of wealthiest person in the world.  He holds the largest shareholder position, with 6.4 percent of the common stock. Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution.

As per the Bloomberg Billionaires List, Gates is the world’s richest person in 2013, a position that he last held on the list in 2007. He is an American by origin, and started his success journey with the formation of Microsoft Software Company. He was the CEO and Chief Software Architect in Microsoft. He is also the author and the co-author of several books. His career gained success and became flourished mainly after 2007, when he held the position of chief software architect in Microsoft; now he is the chairman of Microsoft. Gates had an interest in programming since his teenage years. He wrote his first computer program, when he was at the age of 13. 

Bill Gates was born as William Henry Gates III, on 28 October 1955 in Seattle, Washington in a good family. In 1994, he got married to Melinda Ann French, who was a Microsoft employee. They had three children, Jennifer, Rory and Phoebe. He did his schooling from the Lakeside school. Most of the time, he used to play with computers and programming. He is a perfect man with all the detailed product-strategies and management. He is also well-known for his charity funds. In 2000, Gates and his wife combined three family foundations into one to create the charitable Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which is the largest transparently operated charitable foundation in the world.

Today, Gates is the finest business magnate, investor, programmer, inventor and a true philanthropist. Basically, he is a core programmer, but along with this, he is also a business tycoon in finance and economic world. He is been named by the Time magazine as one of the 100 people who most influenced the 20th century, as well as, one of the 100 most influential people of 2004, 2005, and 2006.
