True Story with Pictures

After graduating high school in 2007, Taylor joined the Navy. He loved life, the outdoors and accepting new challenges. He found a new passion as a Navy EOD tech; he was trained to know everything there was about bombs and other explosive devices. By January 2012, he was finally ready to be deployed to Afghanistan, set to return August 2012. His family yearned for him to come back home, along with his loving girlfriend Danielle, but they never thought it’d happen the way it did.

Taylor and his girlfriend Danielle were happy.

Taylor and his girlfriend Danielle were happy. In fact, they were soulmates.
Then, Taylor was deployed to Afghanistan.

Life wasn’t easy. Life wasn't easy. But he loved what he did. But he loved what he did.On May 3, 2012, Taylor was in the Kandahar province in Afghanistan. He was leading a team of Army Special forces to a classified location, when all of the sudden he stepped on an IED. His injuries were profound, he was conscious and he knew he lost his legs and probably his arms. He was rushed to the hospital in Afghanistan, stabilized, flown to Germany and eventually made it back to Washington, D.C.. Taylor was the 5th Quad Amputee to have ever survive to date. But that didn’t stop Taylor. He fought through the surgeries, rehabilitation and life without limbs… and is now happily married to his wife Danielle. This man is unstoppable and incredibly inspirational. Read his story; he’ll leave your jaw on the floor. On May 3, 2012, everything changed. He stepped on an IED. On May 3, 2012, everything changed.
